As a Custom Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, coding, and enhancing components across various systems and applications. Utilizing modern frameworks and agile methodologies, your work will deliver scalable, high-performing solutions precisely tailored to meet specific business requirements. This role leverages AI-assisted development tools and copilots to accelerate financial process analysis, configuration, documentation, testing, and troubleshooting.

The focus is on seamless integration, delivering high-quality solutions, and boosting productivity through AI, without necessitating deep model development or advanced LLM/RAG engineering expertise.

Key responsibilities include configuring and enhancing core SAP FI components like General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Banking, Tax, and Financial Closing. You will translate business needs into scalable SAP configurations, supported by AI copilots for accelerated analysis and documentation. The role involves end-to-end delivery, from requirements gathering through to hypercare, and integrating SAP FI with other SAP modules and external systems using standard patterns and APIs.

Furthermore, you'll utilize AI copilots for drafting functional specifications, validating configurations, generating test scripts, performing impact analysis, and creating documentation. Applying pre-built AI services for anomaly detection, forecasting, and intelligent validations will enhance finance processes. AI tools will also be used for interpreting financial data, diagnosing errors, and speeding up resolutions. Ensuring compliance with SDLC, audit controls, finance governance, data accuracy, and system performance standards is crucial. Collaboration with business users, functional and technical teams, and stakeholders is essential for aligned, high-quality solutions.

A strong understanding of SAP FI S/4HANA processes, including the Universal Journal, Financial Closing & Reporting, AP/AR Processing, Asset Accounting, Banking & Cash Management, and Taxation and compliance, is essential. Proven experience integrating SAP FI with CO, MM, and SD modules is required. Candidates must demonstrate hands-on experience with AI copilots, LLM-based assistants, automated documentation, and AI-driven testing tools.

An understanding of AI concepts, limitations, responsible AI usage, and the practical application of pre-built AI services is necessary. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in finance processes and data are expected, along with clear communication skills for effective collaboration.
