Join our team as a Custom Software Engineer and play a pivotal role in developing innovative, AI-powered SAP applications. This full-time position focuses on building high-performance, cloud-ready solutions using modern ABAP on HANA engineering and advanced AI patterns. You will leverage agentic AI capabilities, including LLMs and retrieval-augmented generation, to create solutions that reason, retrieve context, and act within enterprise SAP workflows.

This role emphasizes delivering production-grade solutions without the need for training foundational models. You will be instrumental in combining deep ABAP expertise with the latest in AI technology to drive significant business value and operational efficiency for our clients.

Design and develop custom software solutions, coding and enhancing components across various systems and applications.

Implement ABAP solutions optimized for SAP HANA, focusing on pushdown principles and efficient data processing.

Build modular, testable, and maintainable ABAP code following clean architecture practices.

Develop AI-enabled SAP experiences that integrate ABAP services with LLM capabilities, including tool calling and grounded retrieval.

Establish robust quality engineering processes with automated testing and evaluation loops for both ABAP and AI behaviors.

Instrument services for observability, ensuring reliability and supporting incident response.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end solution correctness and performance.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP ABAP Development for HANA is required.

Proficiency in CDS views, modern data modeling practices, and AMDP/SQLScript for performance-critical scenarios is essential.

Strong software engineering discipline, including clean design principles, a testing mindset, CI/CD orientation, and a focus on production readiness, is crucial.

Experience with AI native build capabilities such as LLM integration, retrieval grounding, tool orchestration, evaluation loops, and safety boundaries is highly desirable.

A full-time education spanning 15 years is a mandatory requirement for this role.
