You will leverage deep ABAP and SAP platform expertise, combined with agentic AI architectures and LLM tooling, to create intelligent SAP applications. This role emphasizes rapid experimentation and the integration of ABAP Cloud with LLMs, retrieval pipelines, and enterprise systems to achieve greater autonomy.

This position is for an individual who actively builds AI systems, going beyond merely consuming AI tools. The goal is to move from automation to autonomy in enterprise SAP environments.

Design and develop ABAP Cloud applications that embed LLM-driven intelligence into core SAP business processes. Implement AI-enabled SAP extensions using modern frameworks like the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) and event-driven patterns. Develop clean, testable ABAP code that integrates seamlessly with AI services and enterprise APIs.

Integrate LLMs, embeddings, and retrieval pipelines (RAG) with ABAP Cloud services for contextual and grounded responses. Build and integrate retrieval pipelines using both SAP and non-SAP data sources, ensuring factuality, traceability, and explainability in AI-driven SAP workflows. Implement evaluation frameworks and design guardrails for authorization, data privacy, and error handling.

A minimum of 3 years of experience is required for this role. You should possess strong SAP ABAP Cloud skills, including RAP, CDS, OData, and clean core principles. Hands-on experience integrating LLMs and AI services into applications is essential, as is experience building RAG pipelines, embeddings, and contextual retrieval.

Solid software engineering fundamentals, including design, testing, and CI/CD practices, are necessary. The ability to translate complex business problems into AI-enabled SAP solutions is also key. Familiarity with agent frameworks, vector databases, and enterprise security patterns is strongly beneficial.
