This Custom Software Engineer role focuses on developing and enhancing SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) processes, leveraging AI-assisted development tools. The position emphasizes delivering efficient Order to Cash (O2C) solutions, integrating pre-built AI services, and boosting productivity through AI enablement, rather than deep AI model development.

The engineer will be responsible for the full lifecycle of custom software solutions, ensuring scalability and high performance tailored to specific business needs, using modern frameworks and agile practices.

Key responsibilities include configuring and optimizing SAP SD components such as Order Management, Pricing, Delivery, Billing, and Credit Management. The role involves utilizing AI copilots for drafting functional specifications, validating pricing, automating test cases, and accelerating documentation. Support for end-to-end implementation cycles, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support, is also essential.

Furthermore, the engineer will apply AI-enabled tools to accelerate process analysis, pricing diagnostics, impact analysis, test planning, and documentation automation. This includes incorporating pre-built AI features into SD workflows for tasks like automated exception detection and intelligent order classification. LLM-assisted troubleshooting during incidents will also be a part of the role.

Required skills encompass a strong understanding of SAP SD expertise and O2C processes, including order creation, ATP, shipping, billing, credit checks, and pricing procedures. Experience with SD/FI and SD/MM integrations, as well as knowledge of master data, IDocs, outputs, and common SD troubleshooting steps, is crucial. Hands-on experience with AI copilots, automated documentation, and AI-assisted testing/analysis tools is also required.

Candidates should be able to integrate pre-built AI capabilities into SD process flows and understand responsible AI usage.
