Join us as a Custom Software Engineer, focusing on building AI-native enterprise applications on the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). This role combines robust platform engineering with advanced agentic AI application patterns, including LLMs and retrieval mechanisms.

You will be instrumental in developing, deploying, and operating cloud applications, evolving them into intelligent systems through rapid prototyping and production hardening.

Develop and enhance custom software components across systems, employing modern frameworks and agile methodologies for scalable, high-performance solutions.

Core duties include cloud application engineering on SAP BTP, full-stack delivery with frontend (SAPUI5) and backend (Node.js) development, data modeling, and platform setup for deployment. You will also implement AI-native patterns, such as LLM integration and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), ensuring engineering excellence through Git workflows and Agile practices.

Debugging and resolving technical issues across the full stack are also key aspects of this role, ensuring robust and reliable application delivery.

A minimum of 2-5 years of experience is required, with a mandatory skill in SAP BTP Application Development.

Candidates should possess strong fundamentals in SAP BTP application development, including platform architecture, administration basics, solution design, and frontend/backend build. Hands-on full-stack implementation experience with backend services, APIs, data models, and UI integration is essential.

Solid software engineering principles, including clean code, a testing mindset, and CI/CD orientation, are expected. The ability to transition solutions from prototype to production is also a key requirement. Fifteen years of full-time education is mandated for this position.
