This role focuses on developing and configuring software systems, applying technology knowledge to support client projects. The primary focus is on creating robust Automotive Digital Cockpit Solutions.

We are seeking a technically adept and delivery-focused Android Application Development Lead. This position will drive the design and development of infotainment applications utilizing Android Automotive OS (AAOS). The role encompasses full-stack architecture, HAL integration, and collaborative system-level work to deliver high-performance, automotive-grade user experiences. An ideal candidate will possess 4 years of experience in Android development, with significant expertise in AAOS, embedded systems, and infotainment platforms.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of infotainment applications on AAOS, emphasizing modularity, performance, and maintainability. Architect comprehensive full-stack solutions for media, navigation, user profiles, and distributed playback features. Develop modules for seamless communication with VHAL and other HALs via AIDL/HIDL. Integrate applications with essential system services and vendor-specific frameworks. Proactively identify and resolve issues across application, framework, and HAL layers to ensure optimal stability and performance. Collaborate closely with platform, hardware, and QA teams for integrated validation and seamless operation. Provide mentorship to junior developers, reinforcing best practices in architecture, code quality, and testing methodologies. Create and present detailed architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation plans to stakeholders. Drive Android infotainment application development, ensuring high performance, compliance, and smooth integration across diverse automotive platforms.

Qualifications

A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Android application development is required, with a preference for prior work in automotive or embedded domains. Demonstrate strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and C++ (versions 14/17). Possess a deep understanding of the Android SDK, NDK, Jetpack libraries, and the MVVM architectural pattern. Exhibit practical experience with core Android components, including Activities, Services, Broadcast Receivers, and Content Providers. Gain hands-on experience with AIDL/HIDL, VHAL, and managing communication between HALs and applications. Show familiarity with AAOS car services and the intricacies of infotainment integration. Have experience with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and CAN bus at the application level. Exposure to media, phone, navigation applications, and cloud communication is beneficial. Familiarity with partitioning concepts and cross-partition communication is expected. Proficiency in unit testing, instrumentation testing, and employing mocking frameworks is essential. Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD workflows, and debugging tools such as adb, logcat, Perfetto, and Systrace is required. Knowledge of ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) and ASPICE is advantageous. Familiarity with ISO/SAE 21434 (Cybersecurity) is expected. Understanding of cybersecurity practices, including TARA and secure communication protocols, is necessary. Minimum 4 years of experience in Infotainment & Telematics is mandatory.
