Join our team as an Android Application Development Lead and spearhead the creation of cutting-edge infotainment applications using Android Automotive OS (AAOS). You'll architect full-stack solutions, integrate hardware abstraction layers (HAL), and collaborate across system levels to deliver exceptional, automotive-grade user experiences. This role is ideal for seasoned Android developers with a deep understanding of AAOS, embedded systems, and infotainment platforms.
Lead the design and development of high-performance infotainment applications on AAOS, emphasizing modularity and maintainability. Architect full-stack solutions for media, navigation, and user profile management. Develop modules for VHAL and other HALs using AIDL/HIDL, integrating applications with system services. Debug and optimize across application, framework, and HAL layers, ensuring stability and performance. Collaborate closely with platform, hardware, and QA teams for seamless integration and validation. Mentor junior developers and champion best practices in code quality and architecture. Document technical specifications and present architecture diagrams to stakeholders.
We are looking for candidates with 3 years of experience in Android application development, ideally within automotive or embedded domains. Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and C++ (14/17) is essential, along with a deep understanding of Android SDK, NDK, Jetpack libraries, and MVVM architecture. Experience with Android components (Activities, Services, Broadcast Receivers, Content Providers) and AIDL/HIDL, VHAL, and HAL-to-app communication is required. Familiarity with AAOS car services, infotainment integration, and common communication protocols (BT, Wi-Fi, GPS, CAN) at the application level is preferred. Experience with partitioning concepts, unit testing, and Git is also necessary. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Electronics, or Electrical) is required.
