Design and develop high-performance ABAP solutions optimized for SAP HANA, employing pushdown principles to maximize in-database processing. Build efficient data models using CDS views and implement critical logic with AMDP/SQLScript where appropriate. Develop modular, testable, and maintainable ABAP code following clean architecture practices and secure coding standards. Create AI-enabled SAP experiences by integrating ABAP services with LLM capabilities, including tool orchestration and retrieval grounding. Implement robust quality engineering practices with automated testing and establish evaluation harnesses for AI behaviors. Ensure solutions are observable, reliable, and support incident response with comprehensive error handling and instrumentation. Integrate ABAP on HANA services with SAP and non-SAP ecosystems, collaborating with cross-functional teams for end-to-end solution delivery.

A strong foundation in ABAP Development on HANA, including performance tuning, pushdown techniques, and efficient SQL access patterns, is essential. Proficiency with CDS views, modern data modeling, and AMDP/SQLScript for performance-critical scenarios is required. Candidates must demonstrate solid software engineering discipline, including clean design, a testing mindset, CI/CD orientation, and a focus on production readiness. Experience with AI-native capabilities such as LLM integration, retrieval grounding, tool orchestration, evaluation loops, and safety boundaries is crucial. Familiarity with OData/service design patterns, API lifecycle management, and contract-first development is highly beneficial.
