This role focuses on developing and enhancing custom software solutions for SAP Materials Management (MM). You will design, code, and improve components using modern frameworks and agile methodologies to deliver scalable and high-performing applications tailored to specific business needs.
Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate requirement analysis, configuration, testing, documentation, and problem-solving. The objective is to streamline procurement, inventory management, and supplier collaboration, integrating AI capabilities to enhance productivity. No deep involvement in LLM development, RAG, or agentic AI systems is required.
Configure and optimize key MM processes including Procure to Pay (P2P), Purchase Requisition/Order Management, Source List & Quota Arrangements, Vendor Management, Inventory Management, Reservations & Movements, Material Master Data, and Release Strategies & Pricing.
Utilize AI copilots to generate functional specifications, validate configuration logic, create high-quality test cases, and automate documentation. Support end-to-end delivery across the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to hypercare. Integrate MM with SD, FI, PP, QM, and external systems using standard APIs, IDocs, and middleware.
Apply AI tools to accelerate requirement interpretation, process design, data validation, error diagnostics, test creation, and document generation. Integrate pre-built AI services for enhanced MM operations, such as automated classification, predictive signals, and intelligent summarization of exceptions. Employ LLM-assisted troubleshooting to reduce incident resolution times.
Ensure compliance with procurement governance and audit policies. Participate in workshops and process optimization discussions, supported by AI-generated insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive MM solutions. Contribute reusable templates and AI-augmented best practices.
A strong understanding of SAP MM modules is essential, including P2P processes, purchasing document flows, vendor evaluation, and inventory management. Experience configuring material master, vendor master, PO/PR processing, goods movements, and release strategies is required.
Familiarity with integrations across SD, FI, PP, and QM is necessary, along with knowledge of IDocs, outputs, pricing procedures, and common MM troubleshooting patterns.
Hands-on experience with AI copilots, LLM-powered documentation tools, and AI-assisted testing accelerators is highly desirable. The ability to integrate pre-built AI capabilities into MM workflows is important. Understanding responsible AI usage, data quality impacts, and AI limitations in procurement contexts is also key.
General skills include strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in procurement and material management, the capacity to translate business requirements into SAP MM configurations, clear communication, and a continuous learning mindset for adopting AI-enabled tools. A 15-year full-time education is a mandatory requirement.
