Join our team as a Custom Software Engineer and play a key role in developing innovative software solutions. You will be instrumental in designing, coding, and enhancing components across various systems and applications. This position emphasizes the use of modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge automotive digital cockpit technology. You'll contribute to creating software that shapes the future of in-car experiences.
As a Custom Software Engineer, you will be responsible for creating comprehensive test plans and test cases for critical cockpit features such as media players, navigation systems, Bluetooth/phone connectivity, instrument clusters, and Head-Up Displays.
You will implement automated test scripts utilizing Robot Framework, Appium, Espresso, or UI Automator for regression testing of AAOS-based cockpit applications. Additionally, you will build and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test environments for validating cockpit ECUs, including display signal injection, CAN/CAN-FD network simulation, and touch input emulation.
Key responsibilities include executing performance tests to assess application launch times and UI animation frame rates, validating display quality metrics like color accuracy and brightness uniformity, and performing compliance testing for AAOS and Google Mobile Services (GMS) certification.
Furthermore, you will execute a wide range of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity test scenarios, log defects with detailed reproduction steps in JIRA/ALM, and maintain traceability matrices in Polarion or Code beamer. You will also conduct regression testing for each software release and support on-vehicle cockpit integration testing, including analyzing field logs.
A strong foundation in custom software engineering is essential, with a minimum of 2-5 years of experience. Candidates must possess expertise in Automotive Digital Cockpit Solutions.
Required technical skills include proficiency in automated testing for Android Automotive or Qt/QML test frameworks, a solid understanding of the AAOS platform and its testing tools (CTS runner, CTS Verifier, VTS), and familiarity with HIL bench testing setups like d SPACE, Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, or NI hardware.
Candidates should also demonstrate knowledge of display testing methodologies, including colorimeter calibration and automotive display standards, as well as familiarity with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi qualification tooling and protocol conformance testing. Experience with ALM tools such as JIRA, Polarion, or Code-beamer for defect management and requirements traceability is mandatory.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Automotive Engineering is required, with a minimum of 15 years of full-time education. Minimum 4 years of experience in Digital Cockpit or Automotive Infotainment within the SDV domain is highly preferred.
