This role involves developing custom software solutions, focusing on designing, coding, and enhancing components within various systems and applications. Utilizing modern frameworks and agile methodologies, the goal is to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions precisely tailored to unique business requirements.

The position emphasizes leveraging AI-assisted development tools and copilots to enhance the efficiency of requirement analysis, configuration, testing, documentation, and issue resolution processes. A key aspect is the design, configuration, and enhancement of SAP Production Planning (PP) processes specifically for discrete manufacturing environments. The role integrates pre-built AI services to optimize production planning, shop floor execution, and material staging, ensuring efficient operations.

Configure and support SAP PP processes including Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Production Orders & Execution, Routings, Work Centers & BOM Management, Capacity Planning & Scheduling, Backflushing & Costing Integration, and Goods Movements & Shop floor Reporting.

Utilize AI copilots to accelerate functional specification creation, routing/BOM validation, test case generation for MRP and order creation, and documentation automation.

Support the full lifecycle delivery of solutions, from requirements and design through configuration, SIT/UAT, deployment, and hypercare support. Integrate PP with MM, QM, SD, FI/CO, and shop floor systems (MES) using standard APIs and middleware.

Employ AI copilots for automated summarization of requirements and change impacts, analysis of MRP exceptions, validation of order execution, and faster defect isolation. Embed pre-built AI services into production workflows for predictive insights, intelligent classification of production issues, and automated summarization of deviations.

Collaborate with production, quality, warehouse, procurement, cost controlling, and integration teams to achieve end-to-end planning excellence. Develop reusable templates, checklists, test packs, and AI-enabled best practices for SAP PP delivery.

Requires a strong understanding of discrete manufacturing processes, including BOM/routing management, production order cycles, capacity planning, scheduling, and MRP.

Experience is needed with integration across MM, QM, SD, and FI/CO, along with familiarity with order confirmations, settlements, and shop floor data capture. Proficiency in using AI copilots, automated documentation tools, and AI-assisted test accelerators is essential.

Candidates should be comfortable embedding pre-built AI capabilities into production planning or execution without custom model building and possess an awareness of responsible AI usage. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are crucial, as is a continuous learning mindset and comfort with AI-assisted workflows. A minimum of 3 years of experience is required, along with 15 years of full-time education.
