Job description

We are seeking a talented Custom Software Engineer to design, code, and enhance software components across complex systems. This role involves leveraging modern frameworks and agile methodologies to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions that meet specific business requirements. You will focus on developing software applications and platform services for Automotive High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems, particularly those based on Adaptive AUTOSAR architecture.

Your daily activities will include close collaboration with system architects, platform teams, and requirements engineers. The goal is to develop robust software solutions for Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs), ensuring adherence to automotive quality, safety, and cybersecurity standards. Strong proficiency in Modern C++, Linux/QNX, service-oriented communication, and automotive middleware is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining Adaptive AUTOSAR applications and services on Linux/QNX-based HPC platforms. You will design, implement, and integrate software components using Modern C++ (C++14/17/20) while adhering to industry coding standards.

Develop Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) applications using Adaptive AUTOSAR communication frameworks. Analyze, debug, and resolve software defects within distributed automotive ECU environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement software solutions. Integrate and validate communication services using protocols like SOME/IP, Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, DDS, and MQTT.

Perform software integration, validation, and troubleshooting on target automotive platforms. Enhance unit, integration, and automated test frameworks for robust software. Develop CI/CD pipelines for software builds and deployments. Participate actively in architecture and code reviews, and monitor software quality metrics.

Support software lifecycle activities compliant with ASPICE, Functional Safety, and Cybersecurity requirements. Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks for efficient execution on HPC platforms. Maintain comprehensive software documentation and design specifications. Adhere to clean coding standards and best engineering practices.

Qualifications

We require a strong background in Modern C++ development on Linux/QNX platforms. Hands-on experience with Adaptive AUTOSAR architecture and middleware services is mandatory, alongside expertise in Automotive HPC Platforms, Linux/QNX, and Service-Oriented Architectures.

Demonstrate a strong understanding of Automotive High-Performance Computing (HPC), Domain Controllers, and Zonal Architectures. Expertise in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and automotive communication frameworks is crucial. Familiarity with Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, SOME/IP, DDS, and MQTT protocols is essential.

Experience with multi-threaded programming, IPC mechanisms, memory management, and performance optimization is expected. Knowledge of automotive middleware, platform abstraction layers, and software integration is beneficial. Proficiency in source code management tools like Git and build systems such as CMake/Bazel is required.

Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) and an understanding of software quality metrics (code coverage, static analysis) are important. Familiarity with debugging and profiling tools (GDB, Valgrind, Wireshark, CANoe) is necessary. Knowledge of ASPICE, ISO 21434, and ISO 26262 standards is advantageous.

While not strictly mandatory, preferred qualifications include iSAQB Certified Professional for Software Architecture – Foundation Level (CPSA-F). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. High technological affinity and passion for Software Defined Vehicle technologies are highly valued. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are also required. Experience with Software Defined Vehicles (SDV), Domain Controllers, Zonal Architectures, and centralized compute platforms, as well as Agile/Scrum environments, is highly preferred.
