As a Custom Software Engineer specializing in Packaged Application Development, you will design, code, and enhance SAP FI S/4HANA Accounting solutions. This role leverages AI-assisted development tools to accelerate financial process analysis, configuration, documentation, testing, and troubleshooting. Focus is on delivering scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to business needs, with an emphasis on integration and quality.

You will utilize AI copilots and pre-built AI services to boost productivity and improve financial accuracy and efficiency. The position requires a strong understanding of SAP FI S/4HANA processes and experience with AI tools for analysis and validation, without requiring deep model development.

Configure and enhance core SAP FI components, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Banking, Tax, and Financial Closing. Translate business requirements into scalable SAP configurations, using AI copilots for accelerated analysis and documentation. Support end-to-end delivery, from requirements gathering through to hypercare. Integrate SAP FI with other SAP modules (MM, SD, CO, AA) and external systems. Utilize AI copilots for drafting functional specifications, validating configurations, generating test scripts, and creating documentation. Apply pre-built AI services for anomaly detection, forecasting, and intelligent validations. Employ AI tools for financial data interpretation and rapid issue resolution. Ensure adherence to SDLC, audit controls, finance governance, data accuracy, and system performance standards. Collaborate with finance users, functional teams, technical teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. Contribute to reusable templates, checklists, and best practices for AI-assisted development.

A strong understanding of SAP FI S/4HANA processes is essential, including the Universal Journal, Financial Closing & Reporting, AP/AR Processing, Asset Accounting (AA), Banking & Cash Management, and Taxation. Experience integrating FI with SAP modules like CO, MM, and SD is required. Hands-on experience with AI copilots, LLM-based assistants, automated documentation tools, and AI-driven testing is necessary. Familiarity with AI concepts, limitations, responsible AI usage, and practical application of pre-built AI services is expected. You should be comfortable using AI for analysis, validation, test generation, workflow optimization, and issue resolution. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in finance processes and data are a must. Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical teams are vital.
