Join our team as a Custom Software Engineer focused on Packaged Application Development. This full-time role involves designing, coding, and enhancing components across various systems and applications, utilizing modern frameworks and agile practices. You will leverage AI-assisted development tools and copilots to streamline requirement analysis, configuration, testing, documentation, and problem-solving, ensuring scalable and high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs.

This position emphasizes leveraging AI capabilities to enhance SAP Materials Management (MM) processes, focusing on procurement, inventory management, and supplier collaboration. The role requires integrating pre-built AI features to boost productivity without necessitating deep involvement in custom AI model development.

Configure and optimize SAP MM processes, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), purchase requisitions/orders, source lists, vendor management, inventory management, material master data, and release strategies. Utilize AI copilots to generate functional specifications, validate configuration logic, and create high-quality test cases. Support end-to-end delivery from requirements gathering through hypercare. Integrate MM with other SAP modules (SD, FI, PP, QM) and external systems using standard APIs and middleware.

Apply AI tools to accelerate requirement interpretation, process design, data validation, error diagnostics, and test creation. Integrate pre-built AI services for automated material classification, predictive signals, and intelligent summarization of procurement exceptions. Employ LLM-assisted troubleshooting to reduce incident resolution times. Ensure compliance with procurement governance and operational controls, participating in workshops and process optimization discussions supported by AI insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive MM solutions.

A strong foundation in SAP MM is essential, including a deep understanding of P2P processes, purchasing document flows, vendor evaluation, and inventory management. Proven experience configuring material master, vendor master, purchase orders/requisitions, goods movements, and release strategies is required. Familiarity with integrations across SD, FI, PP, and QM, as well as knowledge of IDocs, outputs, pricing procedures, and common MM troubleshooting patterns, is expected.

Candidates should possess hands-on experience with AI copilots, LLM-powered documentation tools, and AI-assisted testing accelerators. The ability to integrate pre-built AI capabilities into MM workflows for automation and insight generation is crucial. An understanding of responsible AI usage, data quality impacts, and AI limitations in procurement contexts is also necessary. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to translate business requirements into scalable SAP MM configurations, clear communication skills, and a continuous learning mindset with comfort adopting AI-enabled productivity tools are vital for success in this role.
