This role offers the opportunity to work on full-stack architecture, HAL integration, and system-level collaboration to craft high-performance, automotive-grade user experiences.
This position requires deep expertise in AAOS, embedded systems, and infotainment platforms, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Android development.
We are looking for an engineer to create software that powers change and empowers people, working with technologies that reinvent, enable new ways of working, and change the world for the better.
Lead the design and development of robust infotainment applications utilizing AAOS, emphasizing modularity, performance, and maintainability. Architect comprehensive full-stack solutions for media, navigation, user profiles, and distributed playback features.
Develop modules for seamless interaction with VHAL and other HALs through AIDL/HIDL. Integrate applications with essential system services and vendor-specific frameworks.
Effectively debug and optimize across application, framework, and HAL layers to ensure unwavering stability and peak performance. Collaborate closely with platform, hardware, and QA teams for fluid integration and validation. Mentor junior developers, championing best practices in architecture, code quality, and testing. Create and present clear architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation details to stakeholders.
A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Android application development is essential, with a preference for automotive or embedded domains. Demonstrated proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and C++ (14/17) is required.
Possess a deep understanding of the Android SDK, NDK, Jetpack libraries, and MVVM architecture. Hands-on experience with core Android components such as Activities, Services, Broadcast Receivers, and Content Providers is crucial.
Gain practical experience with AIDL/HIDL, VHAL, and HAL-to-app communication. Familiarity with AAOS car services and infotainment integration is highly beneficial. Exposure to Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and CAN at the application level, as well as partitioning concepts and cross-partition communication, is expected.
Proficiency in unit testing, instrumentation testing, and mocking frameworks is necessary. Utilize Git, CI/CD workflows, and debugging tools like adb, logcat, Perfetto, and Systrace effectively.
Familiarity with ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), ASPICE, ISO/SAE 21434 (Cybersecurity), and cybersecurity practices including TARA and secure communication is advantageous. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering is required.
