We are seeking a Custom Software Engineer with expertise in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD). This role involves developing and enhancing custom software solutions, utilizing modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable applications. The primary focus will be on designing, configuring, and optimizing SAP SD processes, leveraging AI-assisted development tools to enhance efficiency throughout the software development lifecycle.

This position emphasizes delivering efficient Order to Cash (O2C) solutions and integrating pre-built AI services. While AI tools will be instrumental in accelerating analysis, configuration, testing, and documentation, the role does not involve deep AI model development or agentic AI systems. The goal is to improve productivity and streamline O2C workflows.

Key responsibilities include configuring and optimizing SAP SD components such as Order Management, Pricing, Delivery Processing, Billing, and Credit Management. You will utilize AI copilots to draft functional specifications, validate pricing logic, automate test case generation, and accelerate documentation. Support for end-to-end implementation cycles, including requirements gathering, solution design, and post-go-live support, is essential. Integration of SD with MM, FI, PP, WM/EWM, and external systems will also be a core part of the role.

Furthermore, you will apply AI-enabled tools to accelerate process analysis, pricing diagnostics, and test planning. Incorporating pre-built AI features into SD workflows, like automated exception detection and intelligent order prioritization, will be crucial. You will also use LLM-assisted troubleshooting to reduce incident resolution times. Ensuring solutions adhere to organizational SDLC practices, conducting workshops, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve O2C alignment are also key duties.

A strong understanding of SAP SD Expertise and O2C processes is required, including order creation, ATP, shipping, billing, credit checks, and pricing procedures. Experience with SD/FI and SD/MM integrations, including cross-module dependencies, is necessary. Knowledge of master data, IDocs, outputs, and common SD troubleshooting steps is essential.

We are looking for candidates with AI Ready Skills, demonstrating hands-on experience with AI copilots, automated documentation tools, and AI-assisted testing/analysis tools. The ability to integrate pre-built AI capabilities into SD process flows is important, alongside an understanding of responsible AI usage and its limitations in commercial workflows. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in O2C scenarios, the ability to translate business requirements into SAP SD configurations, and effective communication and collaboration skills are also paramount. A continuous learning mindset and comfort using AI augmented productivity tools are expected.
