As a Custom Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in crafting bespoke software solutions. This role involves designing, coding, and enhancing system components using modern frameworks and agile methodologies to deliver scalable, high-performance applications tailored to specific business needs.

You will analyze, design, code, and test application components across various clients. A significant part of your role will be collaborating with team members to ensure successful software implementation, alongside maintaining and improving existing applications. Delivering high-quality code that meets client requirements efficiently will be paramount.

Engage collaboratively with product teams to understand and implement requirements. Analyze and organize complex datasets to derive meaningful insights. Develop robust data systems and pipelines for efficient data processing. Evaluate business needs and objectives to align software solutions. Interpret trends and patterns within data to inform strategic decisions. Conduct in-depth data analysis and report on findings. Integrate raw information from diverse sources into cohesive solutions. Proactively identify and implement improvements to data quality and reliability. Independently develop custom workflows, applications, and dashboards on the Skywise platform. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class solutions to end-users. Leverage strong airline domain knowledge to effectively engage with airline end-users and articulate their pain points and business requirements. Create and maintain a comprehensive repository of developed solutions.

Possess strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, PySQL, and JavaScript. Demonstrate good SQL skills for data manipulation and querying. Experience with integration efforts, including data analysis perspectives for packaged and customized applications. Exhibit strong business analyst capabilities, adept at eliciting and documenting requirements from diverse stakeholders. Showcase solid customer service and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction. Apply critical thinking and meticulous attention to detail in all tasks. Demonstrate good judgment, initiative, commitment, and resourcefulness. Be proficient with the Skywise platform and its tools, such as Contour, Code-Workbook, Code, Slate, and Ontology definitions. Possess knowledge of airline and MRO operations (preferred). Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English, and be comfortable discussing technical challenges. Exhibit good team management skills and foster close collaboration with peers.
