We are seeking a technically proficient and results-oriented Android Application Development Lead. This position is instrumental in driving the design and development of advanced infotainment applications utilizing Android Automotive OS (AAOS). The role encompasses full-stack architecture, crucial HAL integration, and collaborative system-level efforts to deliver robust, automotive-grade user experiences. The ideal candidate possesses significant experience in Android development, with a profound understanding of AAOS, embedded systems, and infotainment platforms.

Lead the end-to-end design and development of sophisticated infotainment applications built on AAOS, prioritizing modularity, optimal performance, and ease of maintenance.

Architect comprehensive full-stack solutions for features like media playback, user profiles, navigation, and distributed content delivery.

Develop essential modules for seamless interaction with VHAL and other HALs through AIDL/HIDL protocols.

Integrate applications effectively with core system services and vendor-specific frameworks.

Proactively identify and resolve issues across application, framework, and HAL layers to ensure system stability and peak performance.

Collaborate closely with platform, hardware, and QA teams to guarantee integrated and validated solutions.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, championing best practices in architecture, code quality, and testing methodologies.

Generate and present clear architecture diagrams, detailed technical specifications, and implementation blueprints to key stakeholders.

Oversee the development of Android infotainment applications, ensuring they meet high-performance standards, regulatory compliance, and integrate flawlessly across various automotive platforms.

Requires a minimum of 4 years of dedicated experience in Android application development, with a strong preference for those with backgrounds in automotive or embedded systems.

Demonstrates strong proficiency in core programming languages: Java, Kotlin, and C++ (versions 14/17).

Possesses a deep understanding of the Android SDK, NDK, Jetpack libraries, and the MVVM architectural pattern.

Has hands-on experience with essential Android components such as Activities, Services, Broadcast Receivers, and Content Providers.

Proficient in working with AIDL/HIDL, VHAL, and managing communication between HAL and applications.

Familiarity with AAOS car services and the intricacies of infotainment system integration.

Exposure to Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and CAN bus functionalities at the application level.

Experience with media, phone, navigation applications, and cloud communication protocols.

Knowledge of partitioning concepts and cross-partition communication mechanisms.

Proficiency in implementing unit testing, instrumentation testing, and utilizing mocking frameworks.

Skilled in using Git, navigating CI/CD workflows, and employing debugging tools like adb, logcat, Perfetto, and Systrace.

Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) and ASPICE.

Understanding of ISO/SAE 21434 (Cybersecurity) and related practices including TARA (Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment) and secure communication protocols.
