As a Custom Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, coding, and enhancing complex software components. This role focuses on building scalable, high-performance solutions tailored to specific business needs, leveraging modern frameworks and agile methodologies. You will utilize AI-assisted development tools and copilots to streamline financial process analysis, configuration, documentation, testing, and troubleshooting.

The position emphasizes seamless integration, high-quality delivery, and AI-enabled productivity, without requiring deep model development or advanced LLM/RAG engineering. You will gain hands-on experience in configuring and enhancing core SAP FI components, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Banking, Tax, and Financial Closing.

Key responsibilities include translating business requirements into scalable SAP configurations, supporting end-to-end delivery from requirements gathering to hypercare, and integrating SAP FI with other SAP modules and external systems. You will also leverage AI copilots for various tasks like drafting functional specifications, validating configurations, generating test scripts, and performing impact analysis. Applying pre-built AI services and using AI tools for financial data interpretation and error diagnosis will be integral to the role.

Configure and enhance core SAP FI components, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Banking, Tax, and Financial Closing. Translate business requirements into scalable SAP configurations using AI copilots to accelerate analysis and documentation. Support end-to-end delivery across requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare. Integrate SAP FI with other SAP modules (MM, SD, CO, AA) and external systems through standard integration patterns/APIs. Utilize AI copilots for drafting functional specifications, validating configuration, generating test scripts, impact analysis, and documentation. Apply pre-built AI services (e.g., anomaly detection, forecasting, intelligent validations) to enhance finance processes. Use AI tools for financial data interpretation, error diagnosis, and faster resolution. Ensure compliance with SDLC, audit controls, finance governance, data accuracy, and system performance standards. Conduct workshops, solution walkthroughs, testing cycles, and troubleshooting sessions using AI enhanced insights. Collaborate with finance users, functional teams, technical teams, and cross-module stakeholders to ensure aligned, high-quality solutions. Contribute to reusable templates, checklists, documentation patterns, and AI assisted development best practices.

A strong understanding of SAP FI S/4HANA processes is essential, including Universal Journal, Financial Closing & Reporting, AP/AR Processing, Asset Accounting (AA), Banking & Cash Management, and Taxation and compliance. Experience integrating FI with CO, MM, and SD modules is required. Hands-on experience using AI copilots, LLM based assistants, automated documentation, and AI driven testing tools is necessary. A foundational understanding of AI concepts, limitations, responsible AI usage, and practical application of pre-built AI services is expected (model training, RAG, or agentic development are not required). Demonstrated ability to use AI for analysis, validation, test generation, workflow optimization, and issue resolution is crucial. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities in finance processes and data are key. Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical teams are important. Ability to translate business requirements into well-structured SAP finance solutions is expected. A continuous learning mindset with comfort adopting AI enabled workflows is beneficial. Minimum of 3 years of experience is required, with a maximum of 5 years. A 15-year full-time education is mandated.
