We are seeking a skilled Custom Software Engineer to design, develop, and enhance components across various systems and applications. This role involves leveraging modern frameworks and agile methodologies to deliver scalable, high-performing software solutions tailored to specific business requirements.

The ideal candidate will specialize in Node.js and AWS development, focusing on creating robust backend and Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) applications for dynamic platforms like OTT and digital media. You will be instrumental in technical design, API development, seamless AWS integration, performance tuning, and ensuring smooth production operations.

As a Custom Software Engineer, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Node.js and AWS. Your responsibilities include designing and developing backend services using Node.js and TypeScript, building RESTful and GraphQL APIs for essential services, and creating aggregation layers for diverse platforms. You will integrate a wide array of AWS services, define API contracts and data models, and lead feature delivery from conception to deployment. Developing clean, testable TypeScript code and managing dependencies, security, and platform enhancements are key. You will also be involved in troubleshooting production issues, supporting deployments, providing technical guidance, and mentoring engineering teams.

A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software engineering is required. This role demands expertise in Node.js and TypeScript development, along with a strong understanding of RESTful and GraphQL APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems. Proficiency with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, EKS, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, and API Gateway is essential. Experience with databases (relational and NoSQL), testing frameworks like Jest, and CI/CD practices using Git and Docker is also necessary. Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills are highly valued. Experience with OTT or digital media platforms and AWS certifications are considered a plus.
