We are seeking a Custom Software Engineer with a strong background in SAP PP (Production Planning & Control) for discrete manufacturing environments. The position emphasizes delivering efficient production planning, shop floor execution, and material staging processes, with opportunities to integrate pre-built AI services. No advanced AI model engineering or vector database work is required.

Configure and support critical SAP PP processes such as MRP, production orders, routings, work centers, BOM management, capacity planning, scheduling, backflushing, costing integration, and shop floor reporting. Utilize AI copilots to streamline functional specification creation, routing/BOM validation, test case generation, and documentation automation. Support the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design through configuration, SIT/UAT, deployment, and hypercare. Ensure seamless integration between SAP PP and other modules like MM, QM, SD, and FI/CO, as well as shop floor systems (MES), using standard APIs and middleware. Employ AI copilots for automated requirement summarization, exception analysis, order execution validation, and faster defect isolation. Integrate pre-built AI services to provide predictive insights, classify production issues, and automate deviation summaries. Leverage LLM assisted troubleshooting to efficiently resolve MRP exceptions, order failures, and material shortages.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP PP is required, with a strong understanding of discrete manufacturing processes, including BOM/routing management, production order cycles, capacity planning, scheduling, and MRP. Demonstrated experience integrating SAP PP with MM, QM, SD, and FI/CO modules, along with familiarity in order confirmations, settlements, and shop floor data capture. Proficiency in using AI copilots, automated documentation tools, and AI-assisted test accelerators is essential. Comfortable embedding pre-built AI capabilities into production planning and execution workflows is expected. Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills for production variability, MRP outcomes, and resource planning. Ability to translate manufacturing requirements into effective SAP PP configurations and demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills. Maintain a continuous learning mindset and adaptability to AI-assisted workflows. Full-time education for 15 years is mandatory.
