As a Custom Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing bespoke software solutions. This role involves designing, coding, and enhancing components across various systems and applications. Utilizing modern frameworks and agile methodologies, you will deliver scalable, high-performing solutions precisely tailored to meet unique business requirements.

You will leverage AI-assisted development tools and copilots to accelerate financial process analysis, configuration, documentation, test creation, and troubleshooting within SAP FI S/4HANA Accounting. The focus is on seamless integration, delivering high quality, and boosting productivity through AI, without necessitating deep model development or advanced LLM/RAG engineering.

Key responsibilities include configuring and enhancing core SAP FI components like General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Banking, Tax, and Financial Closing. You will translate business needs into scalable SAP configurations, supported by AI copilots for accelerated analysis and documentation.

This role demands support for end-to-end delivery, spanning requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare. Integration of SAP FI with other SAP modules (MM, SD, CO, AA) and external systems via standard patterns/APIs is crucial.

Furthermore, you will utilize AI copilots for drafting functional specifications, validating configurations, generating test scripts, performing impact analysis, and creating documentation. Applying pre-built AI services, such as anomaly detection and forecasting, will enhance finance processes. AI tools will also be employed for financial data interpretation, error diagnosis, and faster issue resolution.

A strong understanding of SAP FI S/4HANA processes is essential, including the Universal Journal, Financial Closing & Reporting, AP/AR Processing, Asset Accounting, Banking & Cash Management, and Taxation & Compliance. Experience integrating FI with CO, MM, and SD modules is required.

Demonstrated hands-on experience with AI copilots, LLM-based assistants, automated documentation, and AI-driven testing tools is necessary. A foundational understanding of AI concepts, their limitations, responsible AI usage, and the practical application of pre-built AI services is expected. You should be adept at using AI for analysis, validation, test generation, workflow optimization, and issue resolution.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities within finance processes and data, coupled with clear communication skills for effective collaboration with business and technical teams, are vital. The ability to translate business requirements into well-structured SAP finance solutions and a continuous learning mindset with comfort adopting AI-enabled workflows are key attributes. A 15-year full-time education is a mandatory requirement.
