Focus on designing, implementing, and scaling intelligent SAP applications that seamlessly blend ABAP Cloud with LLMs, retrieval pipelines, and enterprise systems. This is a hands-on position focused on actively building AI systems, not merely consuming AI tools.

Advance SAP business processes by embedding LLM-driven intelligence directly into ABAP Cloud applications. Leverage RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP), event-driven patterns, and cloud-native architectures to create scalable and performant extensions. Develop clean, testable ABAP code that ensures seamless integration with AI services and critical enterprise APIs.

Design and implement AI-enabled SAP extensions using modern frameworks and agile methodologies. Integrate LLMs, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines with ABAP Cloud services for contextual and grounded responses. Develop robust agentic workflows, including tools, planners, memory, and orchestration loops, tailored for SAP processes. Build and integrate retrieval pipelines from various SAP and non-SAP data sources, ensuring factuality and traceability in AI-driven workflows.

Implement comprehensive evaluation frameworks for AI behaviors and design essential guardrails for authorization, data privacy, and error handling. Build observability into AI-enabled applications, incorporating telemetry, logging, and failure analysis. Prototype quickly, iterate based on business feedback, and scale AI prototypes into enterprise-grade production systems while prioritizing performance, security, and compliance.

A strong foundation in SAP ABAP Cloud is essential, including proficiency with RAP, CDS, OData, and clean core principles. Demonstrate hands-on experience integrating LLMs and AI services into applications, along with proven expertise in building RAG pipelines, embeddings, and contextual retrieval mechanisms. Solid software engineering fundamentals, encompassing design, testing, and CI/CD practices, are required. The ability to translate complex business problems into innovative, AI-enabled SAP solutions is crucial for success in this role.

Familiarity with SAP BTP, eventing, APIs, and cloud services is highly beneficial. Exposure to agent frameworks or custom orchestration logic, as well as vector databases, search, or semantic indexing, will further strengthen your candidacy. A solid understanding of enterprise security, authorization, and compliance patterns is also advantageous.
