Join our team as a Custom Software Engineer and play a key role in designing, coding, and enhancing software components. You'll leverage modern frameworks and agile methodologies to build scalable, high-performance solutions that precisely meet business requirements. This position is integral to our customer-facing efforts, providing essential support during pre and post-implementation phases.

As a crucial escalation point for complex issues, you'll need a deep understanding of our offerings. The role demands intermediate expertise in areas such as network issues, APIs, MSSQL, Oracle, Java, Linux, Postgres, and Hana/DB2. Your contributions will directly impact customer success and product adoption.

Your primary responsibility will be to act as the final escalation point for highly complex and sensitive client issues, ensuring timely and positive customer interactions. You will effectively communicate customer needs to internal teams and provide technical leadership to junior staff.

Demonstrate initiative in achieving performance goals and act as a liaison during customer program implementations to gain product and technology insights for post-implementation support. Troubleshoot and provide ongoing support for installed technical solutions by analyzing events and applying technical knowledge, adhering to established procedures.

Collaborate with emerging products and technologies to develop support processes. Resolve highly technical and sensitive issues through critical thinking and creative problem-solving. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, and manage complex escalations from Tier 2 analysts. Create and maintain knowledge entries, including best practices, and support shared systems.

A strong foundation in troubleshooting, maintaining, or developing data-driven applications connected to relational databases, XML sources, and high-volume web services is essential. You should possess subject matter expertise in at least one of the following: database technology (Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, DB2, Hana), Java, XML, web services, ERPs, network architecture, or performance issues.

Expert knowledge of supported transmission types (XML, REST, JSON) and processing tools like SoapUI and Postman is required, along with experience in Data Security & Operations. Proficiency in LINUX and Web Programming, including HTTP programming, ICF, Framework, and Web Services in ABAP (SOAP, WSDLs) or Java programming is also needed.

Candidates should have excellent debugging skills across various technologies and programming languages, with the ability to network effectively. Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and facilitation skills are a must. You must be results-oriented and customer-focused, with a proven ability to handle customer escalations calmly and effectively in stressful situations. Analytical and creative problem-solving skills are critical for resolving complex issues.
