Join our team as a Custom Software Engineer, focused on building intelligent, enterprise-grade user experiences. You will leverage SAPUI5 and the broader SAP Fiori paradigm, integrating advanced front-end engineering with agentic AI patterns. The goal is to create adaptive SAP experiences that accelerate user task completion while ensuring high performance, accessibility, security, and reliability.

This role goes beyond traditional forms and screens, pushing the boundaries of user interaction with AI-driven guidance and support. You will be instrumental in transforming how users engage with SAP applications, making them more intuitive and efficient.

Develop responsive and user-friendly SAPUI5 interfaces using MVC architecture and component-based patterns. Implement robust data flows with an OData-first mindset, designing scalable client-side models. Integrate AI-driven experiences into UI flows, enabling in-the-moment assistance and contextual guidance. Build tool-augmented UI patterns that allow for safe and confirmed interactions with approved services. Ensure AI outputs remain grounded in enterprise knowledge and business context. Construct automated test coverage for UI components and optimize application performance and maintainability. Adhere to SAP Fiori design principles for consistent, role-based experiences across devices.

A strong foundation in SAP UI5 development and enterprise UI engineering is essential. Proficiency in MVC architecture, responsive UI construction, and component-driven development within SAPUI5 contexts is required. Solid experience with OData and service mocking for development and testing is necessary. You should possess strong front-end skills in JavaScript, JSON, and CSS, coupled with experience in Git-based collaboration. The ability to design and implement AI-native UI behaviors, including grounding, tool use, and evaluation loops, is critical. Familiarity with SAP Fiori design principles and understanding of the SAPUI5 vs. OpenUI5 ecosystem are highly beneficial. A minimum of 3 years of experience and 15 years of full-time education are mandatory.
