You will leverage SAPUI5 and the broader SAP Fiori paradigm, combining deep front-end engineering with agentic AI patterns. The goal is to create intelligent, guided, and adaptive SAP experiences that significantly enhance user productivity while maintaining enterprise-level performance, accessibility, security, and reliability.

This role is centered on developing sophisticated UI behaviors and ensuring their quality, including grounding, safety boundaries, and evaluation, rather than solely focusing on AI-assisted coding or model training. You will productize intelligent experiences within the UI layer through reliable integration patterns.

Develop responsive, user-friendly SAPUI5 interfaces utilizing MVC architecture and component-based patterns. Implement robust data flows with an OData-first mindset, designing scalable client-side models. Integrate AI-driven experiences into UI flows for in-the-moment assistance, propose next steps, and generate contextual guidance. Build tool-augmented UI patterns with clear user confirmation and safe action boundaries. Implement retrieval-grounded UI interactions to ensure AI outputs are tied to enterprise knowledge. Develop automated test coverage for UI components and optimize application performance for long-term supportability.

Ensure SAP Fiori-aligned experience design, delivering role-based and consistent experiences. Understand SAPUI5 and OpenUI5 ecosystem positioning. Prototype quickly, demo frequently, and iterate with stakeholders to harden solutions into production-ready code.

A strong foundation in SAP UI5/SAPUI5 development and enterprise UI engineering is essential. Proficiency in MVC architecture, responsive UI construction, and component-driven development within SAP UI5 is required. Solid experience implementing OData and service mocking approaches for development and testing workflows is a must. Expertise in front-end fundamentals including JavaScript, JSON, and CSS, coupled with Git-based collaboration is crucial.

Candidates must possess AI-native build capabilities, designing UX that integrates LLM behaviors with grounding, tool use, and evaluation loops. Familiarity with the SAP Fiori design paradigm and the ability to translate UX principles into scalable UI solutions are strongly beneficial. Experience with SAPUI5 application testing approaches and understanding of SAPUI5 vs. OpenUI5 positioning for enterprise delivery are also highly valued.
