Seeking a technically skilled and delivery-focused Android Application Development Lead to spearhead the design and development of infotainment applications using Android Automotive OS (AAOS).
This role emphasizes full-stack architecture, HAL integration, and collaborative system-level work to deliver high-performance, automotive-grade user experiences.
The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in Android development, with deep expertise in AAOS, embedded systems, and infotainment platforms.
Lead the design and development of infotainment applications using AAOS, prioritizing modularity, performance, and maintainability.
Architect full-stack solutions for media, navigation, user profiles, and distributed playback.
Develop modules for VHAL and other HALs using AIDL/HIDL, and integrate applications with system services and vendor-specific frameworks.
Address issues across application, framework, and HAL layers for stability and performance, collaborating closely with platform, hardware, and QA teams.
Guide junior developers, enforce best practices, and create technical documentation for stakeholders.
Requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in Android application development, ideally within automotive or embedded domains.
Demonstrate strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and C++ (14/17), along with a deep understanding of Android SDK, NDK, Jetpack libraries, and MVVM architecture.
Possess hands-on experience with AIDL/HIDL, VHAL, communication protocols (BT, Wi-Fi, GPS, CAN), and partitioning concepts.
Familiarity with AAOS car services, infotainment integration, media/navigation apps, and cloud communication is essential.
Proficiency in unit testing, instrumentation testing, mocking frameworks, Git, CI/CD, and debugging tools (adb, logcat, Perfetto, Systrace) is required.
Experience with ISO 26262, ASPICE, ISO/SAE 21434, and cybersecurity practices is advantageous.
