Join our team as a Custom Software Engineer, focusing on developing and enhancing SAP PP Production Planning & Control solutions for discrete manufacturing environments. This role leverages AI-assisted development tools and copilots to accelerate various stages of project delivery, from analysis to issue resolution. The primary goal is to deliver efficient production planning, shop floor execution, and material staging processes, integrating pre-built AI services where beneficial.

While AI tools will be integral to your workflow, deep AI model engineering, vector database work, RAG, or agentic system development are not requirements for this position. You will be instrumental in creating software that powers change and empowers people within our client organizations.

Configure and support SAP PP processes, including Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Production Orders, Routings, Work Centers, BOM Management, Capacity Planning, Scheduling, Backflushing, Costing Integration, Goods Movements, and Shop Floor Reporting. Utilize AI copilots to expedite functional specification creation, routing/BOM validation, test case generation, and documentation automation. Support the entire delivery lifecycle, from requirements gathering to hypercare.

Integrate SAP PP with MM, QM, SD, FI/CO, and MES systems using standard APIs and middleware. Employ AI copilots for automated summarization of requirements, analysis of MRP exceptions, validation of order execution, and faster defect isolation. Integrate pre-built AI services for predictive insights, intelligent classification of production issues, and automated summarization of deviations. Leverage LLM assisted troubleshooting to efficiently resolve issues related to MRP exceptions and order failures.

A strong foundation in SAP PP with expertise in discrete manufacturing processes is essential, covering BOM management, production order cycles, capacity planning, scheduling, and MRP. Experience integrating SAP PP with MM, QM, SD, and FI/CO, along with familiarity in order confirmations, settlements, and shop floor data capture, is required. The ability to use AI copilots, automated documentation tools, and AI-assisted test accelerators is crucial.

This role demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to production variability and resource planning. You should be adept at translating manufacturing requirements into scalable SAP PP configurations. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary to work effectively across technical and operational teams, coupled with a continuous learning mindset and comfort adopting AI-assisted workflows. A 15-year full-time education is a prerequisite.
