Join us as a Custom Software Engineer and play a key role in developing AI-native enterprise applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). This position involves building, deploying, and optimizing cloud applications, transforming them into intelligent systems through innovative prototyping and production hardening. Develop and enhance custom software components across various systems and applications. Build, deploy, and manage cloud-based applications on SAP BTP, ensuring platform fundamentals, administration, solution design, and full-stack development. Create robust backend services and APIs using Node.js, and develop responsive frontend UI components with SAPUI5. Design and implement data models and database artifacts, connecting applications to SAP HANA. Configure platform environments, including subaccounts, service instances, and connectivity for external integrations. Implement advanced AI capabilities such as LLM integration, tool calling, orchestration, memory handling, and safe action boundaries. Develop retrieval-grounded experiences (RAG) over enterprise content and APIs. Establish evaluation loops for AI behavior monitoring and regression detection. Utilize Git-based workflows and agile/Scrum methodologies for efficient development and collaboration. Debug and resolve issues related to backend, database, and service exposure.

A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in custom software engineering is required. Must possess strong skills in SAP BTP application development, including platform architecture, administration basics, solution design, and frontend/backend development. Demonstrated full-stack implementation experience, including backend services, APIs, data models, and UI integration. Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, such as clean code, testing, and CI/CD orientation. Proven ability to transition solutions from prototype to production environments. Experience with AI native application patterns, including LLM integration, orchestration, grounding, and safety. A commitment to delivering high-impact, reliable solutions by embedding AI capabilities into business workflows. 15 years of full-time education is mandatory for this role.
