As a Custom Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing tailored software solutions. Your role involves designing, coding, and enhancing components across various systems and applications. You will leverage modern frameworks and agile methodologies to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions designed to meet specific business requirements.

This position also involves performing internal application penetration tests and managing SCA/SAST and WAF platforms, including on-call duties. You'll work independently with strong ownership while fostering proactive collaboration with developers and global AppSec stakeholders. A key aspect of this role is a self-driven approach to tracking vulnerabilities and effectively communicating associated risks and recommended mitigations.

Develop custom software solutions, focusing on designing, coding, and enhancing components across diverse systems and applications. Utilize modern frameworks and agile practices to ensure the delivery of scalable, high-performance solutions. Perform internal application penetration tests and actively manage SCA/SAST and WAF platforms, including 24/7 on-call rotations. Collaborate proactively with development teams and global AppSec stakeholders, demonstrating strong ownership and independent work capabilities. Track vulnerabilities in a self-driven manner, clearly articulating risks and mitigation strategies to relevant parties. Continuously enhance and automate AppSec workflows using AI, integrating new learnings and insights within the team.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in relevant software engineering and application security roles is required. Proficiency in Static Application Security Testing (SAST) is a mandatory skill for this position. Familiarity with Python (Programming Language) is considered a valuable asset. Possess a profound understanding of application security risks and their corresponding mitigation strategies. Demonstrate strong hands-on penetration testing experience for both web applications and APIs. Experience with SAST/SCA tools, AWS cloud environments, and ideally Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) is expected. Skills in AI and automation, coupled with Python expertise, are highly desirable. Exhibit strong communication and collaboration abilities, particularly in cross-functional team settings. A proactive, reliable, and team-oriented mindset, along with effective coordination skills, is essential.
