Join our team as a Custom Software Engineer to design, code, and enhance system components, delivering scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs using modern frameworks and agile practices. This role focuses on custom software development for Packaged Application Development within SAP PP.

We are leveraging AI-assisted development tools and copilots to accelerate various stages of the project lifecycle, including requirement analysis, configuration, testing, documentation, and issue resolution. The primary focus will be on enhancing efficient production planning, shop floor execution, and material staging processes. Integration of pre-built AI services is encouraged where beneficial, though deep AI model engineering is not a requirement.

Configure and support core SAP PP processes such as Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Production Orders & Execution, Routings, Work Centers & BOM Management, Capacity Planning & Scheduling, Backflushing & Costing Integration, and Goods Movements & Shop floor Reporting. Utilize AI copilots to expedite the creation of functional specifications, validation of routings/BOMs, generation of test cases for MRP and order creation, and automation of documentation.

Support the entire delivery lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to configuration, SIT/UAT, deployment, and hypercare. Ensure seamless integration of PP with other SAP modules like MM, QM, SD, FI/CO, and shop floor systems (MES) using standard APIs and middleware. Drive AI-assisted productivity through automated summarization of requirements, analysis of MRP exceptions, validation of order execution, and faster defect isolation in configurations. Embed pre-built AI services into production workflows for predictive insights, intelligent issue classification, and automated summarization of deviations.

A strong foundation in SAP PP is essential, with a deep understanding of discrete manufacturing processes, including BOM/routing management, production order cycles, capacity planning, scheduling, and MRP. Experience in integrating SAP PP with MM, QM, SD, and FI/CO, alongside familiarity with order confirmations and shop floor data capture, is required. You should be proficient in using AI copilots, automated documentation tools, and AI-assisted test accelerators. Familiarity with embedding pre-built AI capabilities into production planning or execution is necessary, along with an awareness of responsible AI usage.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial for addressing production variability and MRP outcomes. The ability to translate manufacturing requirements into scalable SAP PP configurations, coupled with strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and operational teams, is vital. A continuous learning mindset and comfort with adopting AI-assisted workflows are highly valued. A 15-year full-time education is a prerequisite for this role.
