This role involves designing, configuring, and enhancing SAP FI S/4HANA Accounting functionalities. You will leverage AI-assisted development tools and copilots to streamline financial process analysis, configuration, documentation, testing, and troubleshooting. The position focuses on integration, delivering high-quality solutions, and boosting productivity with AI, without requiring extensive model development or advanced LLM/RAG engineering.

As a Custom Software Engineer, you will develop tailored software solutions, coding and enhancing components across various systems and applications. Utilizing modern frameworks and agile methodologies, you will deliver scalable, high-performance solutions that precisely meet specific business requirements.

Configure and enhance core SAP FI components, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Banking, Tax, and Financial Closing. Translate business needs into scalable SAP configurations with AI copilot assistance for accelerated analysis and documentation.

Support the entire delivery lifecycle from requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, to hypercare. Integrate SAP FI with other SAP modules like MM, SD, CO, AA, and external systems using standard integration patterns and APIs.

Employ AI copilots for drafting functional specifications, validating configurations, generating test scripts, conducting impact analyses, and creating documentation. Apply pre-built AI services for anomaly detection, forecasting, and intelligent validations to improve financial processes. Utilize AI tools for interpreting financial data, diagnosing errors, and resolving issues faster.

Ensure adherence to SDLC, audit controls, finance governance, data accuracy, and system performance standards. Lead workshops, solution walkthroughs, testing cycles, and troubleshooting sessions with AI-enhanced insights. Collaborate effectively with finance users, functional teams, technical teams, and cross-module stakeholders to deliver aligned, high-quality solutions. Contribute to the development of reusable templates, checklists, documentation patterns, and AI-assisted development best practices.

Possess a strong understanding of SAP FI S/4HANA processes, including the Universal Journal, Financial Closing & Reporting, AP/AR Processing, Asset Accounting, Banking & Cash Management, and Taxation. Experience integrating FI with CO, MM, and SD modules is essential.

Demonstrate hands-on experience with AI copilots, LLM-based assistants, automated documentation, and AI-driven testing tools. Understand AI concepts, limitations, responsible AI usage, and the practical application of pre-built AI services. Be adept at using AI for analysis, validation, test generation, workflow optimization, and issue resolution.

Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to finance processes and data. Possess clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical teams. Be capable of translating business requirements into well-structured SAP finance solutions. Maintain a continuous learning mindset and comfort in adopting AI-enabled workflows.

A minimum of 3 years of experience is required. A full-time education spanning 15 years is necessary.
