Advance your career as a Custom Software Engineer, specializing in building AI-native enterprise applications on the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).

This role involves a blend of strong platform engineering expertise, including administration, solution design, and full-stack development, combined with modern agentic AI application patterns. You will be instrumental in building, deploying, and optimizing cloud applications on SAP BTP, transforming them into intelligent systems through agile prototyping and robust production hardening.

The focus is on creating high-impact solutions that embed advanced AI capabilities into business workflows, ensuring engineering discipline and operational reliability.

Develop and deploy cloud applications on SAP BTP, encompassing platform fundamentals, administration, solution design, and full-stack development.

Build robust backend services and APIs using Node.js patterns, and create responsive user interfaces with SAPUI5, integrating seamlessly with backend data.

Design and implement data models and database artifacts, connecting applications to SAP HANA persistence patterns.

Configure SAP BTP environments, including subaccounts, service instances, roles, and connectivity artifacts for external integrations.

Implement AI-native features within BTP applications, such as LLM integration, tool calling, orchestration, memory handling, and safe action boundaries.

Develop retrieval-grounded experiences (RAG) over enterprise content and APIs, ensuring clear fallback mechanisms and implementing evaluation loops to monitor and refine AI behavior.

Utilize Git-based workflows and Agile/Scrum methodologies, ensuring code quality, testing, and CI/CD practices.

Debug and resolve issues across backend, database, and service exposure during full-stack delivery.

Minimum 2-5 years of professional experience in custom software engineering.

Mandatory expertise in SAP BTP application development, covering platform architecture, administration basics, solution design, and frontend/backend build.

Proven full-stack implementation experience, including backend services, APIs, data models, and UI integration.

Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including clean code principles, a testing mindset, and CI/CD orientation, with the ability to transition from prototype to production.

Experience with modern frameworks and agile practices is essential.
