As a Custom Software Engineer, you will design, build, and configure applications to meet intricate business process and application requirements. This role focuses on leveraging AI-assisted development tools and copilots to streamline financial process analysis, configuration, documentation, test creation, and troubleshooting.

You will play a key role in enhancing SAP FI S/4HANA Accounting capabilities, ensuring seamless integration, high-quality delivery, and AI-enabled productivity. The position does not require deep model development or advanced LLM/RAG engineering expertise.

Configure and enhance core SAP FI components, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Banking, Tax, and Financial Closing. Translate complex business requirements into scalable SAP configurations, utilizing AI copilots for accelerated analysis and documentation. Support end-to-end delivery processes, encompassing requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare. Integrate SAP FI with other SAP modules (MM, SD, CO, AA) and external systems using standard integration patterns and APIs. Utilize AI copilots for drafting functional specifications, validating configurations, generating test scripts, performing impact analysis, and creating documentation. Apply pre-built AI services, such as anomaly detection and forecasting, to enhance finance processes. Employ AI tools for financial data interpretation, error diagnosis, and faster issue resolution. Ensure adherence to SDLC, audit controls, finance governance, data accuracy, and system performance standards. Conduct workshops, solution walkthroughs, testing cycles, and troubleshooting sessions, leveraging AI-enhanced insights. Collaborate effectively with finance users, functional teams, technical teams, and cross-module stakeholders to deliver aligned, high-quality solutions. Contribute to the development of reusable templates, checklists, documentation patterns, and best practices for AI-assisted development.

A strong understanding of SAP FI S/4HANA processes is essential, including the Universal Journal, Financial Closing & Reporting, AP/AR Processing, Asset Accounting (AA), Banking & Cash Management, and Taxation and compliance. Experience integrating FI with CO, MM, and SD modules is required. Hands-on experience utilizing AI copilots, LLM-based assistants, automated documentation tools, and AI-driven testing tools is crucial. A foundational understanding of AI concepts, limitations, responsible AI usage, and the practical application of pre-built AI services is expected. Demonstrated ability to use AI for analysis, validation, test generation, workflow optimization, and issue resolution is necessary. Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to finance processes and data. Exhibit clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both business and technical teams. Capability to translate business requirements into well-structured SAP finance solutions. A continuous learning mindset and comfort with adopting AI-enabled workflows are vital. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required, with a maximum of 5 years considered. A 15-year full-time education is mandatory.
