We are seeking a technically proficient and delivery-oriented Android Application Development team member to drive the design and development of innovative infotainment applications utilizing Android Automotive OS (AAOS). This role demands full-stack architectural capabilities, seamless HAL integration, and effective system-level collaboration to deliver high-performance, automotive-grade user experiences. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Android development, with profound expertise in AAOS, embedded systems, and automotive infotainment platforms.

Design and develop infotainment applications using AAOS, emphasizing modularity, performance, and maintainability. Develop modules for VHAL and other HALs through AIDL/HIDL. Integrate applications with system services and vendor-specific frameworks. Troubleshoot and optimize across application, framework, and HAL layers for stability and performance. Collaborate closely with platform, hardware, and QA teams for seamless integration and validation. Mentor junior developers and uphold best practices in architecture, code quality, and testing. Create and present architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation details. Lead the development of Android infotainment applications, ensuring high-performance compliance and integration across automotive platforms.

Requires a minimum of two to five years of experience, with a significant portion dedicated to Automotive Digital Cockpit Solutions. Must possess strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and C++ (14/17). Deep understanding of Android SDK, NDK, Jetpack libraries, and MVVM architecture is essential. Experience with core Android components (Activities, Services, Broadcast Receivers, Content Providers). Hands-on experience with AIDL/HIDL, VHAL, and HAL-to-app communication. Familiarity with AAOS car services and infotainment integration. Experience with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and CAN at the application level. Exposure to media, phone, navigation apps, and cloud communication. Familiarity with partitioning concepts and cross-partition communication. Proficiency in unit testing, instrumentation testing, and mocking frameworks. Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD workflows, and debugging tools like adb, logcat, Perfetto, and Systrace. Knowledge of ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), ASPICE, and ISO/SAE 21434 (Cybersecurity). Understanding of cybersecurity practices, including TARA and secure communication. A Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Electronics, or Electrical) is required.
