We are seeking a Custom Software Engineer to develop innovative, AI-native, and cloud-ready SAP solutions. This role leverages deep ABAP and SAP platform expertise, combined with agentic AI architectures and LLM tooling, to build intelligent SAP applications. You will focus on designing, implementing, and scaling these applications, integrating ABAP Cloud with LLMs, retrieval pipelines, and enterprise systems to move towards greater autonomy.

This position is hands-on in building AI systems, not just utilizing AI tools. You will play a key role in creating advanced SAP solutions that are both automated and intelligent, driving faster innovation and more powerful business processes.

Design and construct ABAP Cloud applications that embed LLM-driven intelligence into SAP business processes. Implement AI-enabled SAP extensions using modern programming models and cloud-native architectures, ensuring clean, testable ABAP code. Integrate LLMs, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines with ABAP Cloud services for contextual and grounded responses.

Develop agentic workflows, including tools, planners, memory, and evaluation loops. Build and integrate retrieval pipelines using various data sources to support production-grade RAG scenarios. Implement robust evaluation frameworks, design guardrails for security and privacy, and build observability into AI-enabled applications.

A minimum of 3 years of professional experience is required. Essential skills include SAP ABAP Cloud expertise (RAP, CDS, OData, clean core principles), hands-on experience integrating LLMs and AI services, and proficiency in building RAG pipelines, embeddings, and contextual retrieval.

Strong software engineering fundamentals, including design, testing, and CI/CD, are crucial. The ability to translate complex business problems into effective AI-enabled SAP solutions is also a key requirement. Additional beneficial skills include experience with SAP BTP, agent frameworks, and vector databases.
