As a Custom Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and configuring applications that precisely meet business process and application requirements. Your role involves collaborating with teams to grasp project needs, devising innovative solutions, and ensuring seamless application integration. You will also contribute to enhancing application performance and user experience through testing and troubleshooting, playing a key part in project success.

Key responsibilities include developing technical specifications, designing and coding solutions, creating and executing test cases, and managing data loading and setup.

You will leverage extensive experience with Baan IV and ERP LN, focusing on development and customizations.

This involves proficiency in 4GL programming, SQLs, and DAL usage, alongside strong debugging and troubleshooting skills by analyzing logs, traces, and CGP.

Additional duties encompass multi-bshell and AFS programming, performance tuning, indexing, and solid Oracle DBA knowledge.

You will manage the migration of software components and customizations across environments, including data refresh and sequential dumps.

Furthermore, you'll build interfaces to PLM and MES applications using flat files and web services.

Familiarity with 'Baan Open World', BOIs, JDK, and Infor web services is essential.

Experience with Unix shell scripting, knowledge of BODs, BDEs (Extensions), and XML are also integral.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required to collaborate with end-users and business leads.

You will collaborate and lead meetings with the business community and technical consultants.

Strong technical knowledge of ERP LN and BaaN functional areas, including Manufacturing, Distribution, Warehousing, and Finance, is expected.

A strong command of Infor LN for Discrete Manufacturing is a must-have skill.

Candidates should possess a solid understanding of application development methodologies.

Experience with system integration and data migration processes is crucial.
