The Lead Engineer position is pivotal within the engineering team, guiding complex technical projects, fostering innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of premium software products. This position demands a blend of hands-on technical expertise, strategic foresight, and team mentorship.

Prepare detailed technical design specifications from functional requirements and analysis documents, including comprehensive knowledge transfer materials.

Review and provide constructive feedback on functional requirements, analysis, and design documents.

Implement, test, maintain, and support software solutions according to technical design specifications.

Enhance system quality by identifying issues, recognizing common patterns, and establishing standard operating procedures.

Improve applications by proactively identifying enhancement opportunities, formulating recommendations, and designing/implementing new systems.

Maintain and optimize existing codebases, while conducting peer reviews for all code changes.

Collaborate effectively with colleagues to implement technical designs.

Investigate and integrate new technologies where applicable.

Provide technical assistance to customer support teams for issue resolution.

Demonstrate an ability to work autonomously with significant decision-making latitude.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in developing systems and software for large business environments is mandatory.

Possess strong Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles, with the ability to implement them in Java.

Extensive experience in leading the architecture, design, and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services is required.

Demonstrated experience working with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, CI/CD DevOps technologies, and advanced debugging skills.

Solid understanding of unit testing, test-driven development, functional testing, and performance testing methodologies.

Experience building front-end applications with React is highly advantageous.

Familiarity with database systems (SQL, NoSQL) and data architecture is essential.

Experience with software security-enhancing tools and best practices is required.

Proficiency in at least one shell scripting language.

An understanding of industry-leading technologies in big data and machine learning.

Ability to manage varying levels of abstraction, from business strategy to detailed technical design and implementation.

Experience driving results across cross-functional teams while maintaining strong working relationships.

Possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and facilitation skills.

Minimum 10 years of experience in Java Enterprise Edition.

A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Master's degree is a plus.

8+ years of extensive experience developing mission-critical, low-latency solutions for large business environments.

At least 5 years of experience developing and debugging distributed systems and working with big data systems in the cloud.
