Job description

Join our team as a Custom Software Engineer and play a key role in developing innovative software solutions. This position focuses on designing, coding, and enhancing components for various systems and applications. You will leverage modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing software tailored to specific business needs, ensuring efficient and robust solutions.

This role offers a dynamic environment where you can contribute to continuous software improvement and drive project success through customized development approaches. You'll be instrumental in building cutting-edge software that meets complex requirements and pushes technological boundaries.

Responsibilities

Design and implement advanced ADAS application software using C++ and Python for critical features such as ACC, LKA, AEB, FCW, BSD, and RCW, adhering to OEM Tier 1 functional requirements. Develop and optimize sensor fusion algorithms, integrating data from multiple sources like cameras, radar, and LiDAR for precise object detection and tracking. Integrate ADAS feature software with AUTOSAR Adaptive Classic middleware and various vehicle communication stacks including CAN, CAN FD, and Ethernet SOME/IP. Execute comprehensive software unit and component integration testing, maintaining traceability to system requirements using tools like Vector CAST or Google Test. Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure adherence to automotive coding standards like MISRA C++ 2023, utilizing static analysis tools such as PolySpace or LDRA. Collaborate closely with system engineers to refine requirements and generate detailed software design specifications aligned with ASPICE SWE 1 to SWE 3 process areas. Debug and resolve software defects identified during HIL, SIL, and on-vehicle testing stages using specialized hardware debug tools and trace analysis techniques. Provide essential support for ASPICE-compliant documentation, including SRS, SDD, test plans, test reports, and change management records. Actively participate in Agile SCRUM ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and delivery commitments. Engage with OEM Tier 1 stakeholders throughout integration milestones and feature demonstration phases.

Qualifications

This role demands strong proficiency in C++ and Python, coupled with extensive experience in automotive embedded software development within the ADAS domain. Solid understanding of ADAS algorithms, encompassing object detection, multi-sensor tracking, path prediction, and scene understanding, is essential. You should possess a thorough understanding of the AUTOSAR Adaptive Classic Platform architecture, software component design, and service interfaces. Hands-on experience with processing data from camera ISP, CV pipelines, 77 GHz radar, CAN, Ethernet, or LiDAR sensors is required. Knowledge of ISO 26262 Functional Safety principles (ASIL B, C) and SOTIF ISO 21448 concepts is crucial. Demonstrated experience using MATLAB/Simulink for model-based algorithm prototyping and verification is expected. Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, CMake build systems, and static analysis tools is necessary. Good to have: Familiarity with OpenCV, Eigen, and PCL for perception algorithm development. Good to have: Knowledge of CARLA, LGSVL, or IPG CarMaker simulation environments for ADAS scenario testing. Good to have: Awareness of vehicle communication protocols such as CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet SOME/IP, and DDS. Good to have: Understanding of ASPICE SWE process area documentation requirements. A minimum of 4 years of experience in the ADAS Automotive Embedded SDV domain is required. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or Automotive Engineering is necessary, with a minimum of 15 years of full-time education.
