As a Custom Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing tailored software solutions. This involves designing, coding, and refining system components using modern frameworks and agile methodologies to deliver scalable and high-performing applications that precisely meet business requirements.

Your primary focus will be on leveraging AI-powered tools and copilots to accelerate various stages of the SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) process, including requirement analysis, configuration, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting. This role emphasizes enhancing Order-to-Cash (O2C) efficiency through AI-assisted improvements rather than core AI model development.

Configure and optimize SAP SD modules for Order Management, Pricing, Discounts, Delivery, Shipment Processing, Billing, Invoicing, Credit Management, and Returns. Utilize AI copilots for generating functional specifications, validating pricing logic, automating test cases, and speeding up documentation. Support full implementation lifecycles, from requirement gathering and solution design to SIT/UAT, deployment, and post-go-live support. Integrate SAP SD with MM, FI, PP, WM/EWM, and external systems via standard APIs and middleware. Apply AI tools for accelerated process analysis, pricing diagnostics, impact analysis, test planning, and documentation automation. Incorporate pre-built AI features into SD workflows for tasks like exception detection, order classification, and issue summarization. Leverage LLM-assisted troubleshooting to reduce incident resolution times.

Possess a strong understanding of SAP SD, including O2C processes such as order creation, ATP, shipping, billing, credit checks, and pricing. Have experience with SD/FI and SD/MM integrations, understanding cross-module dependencies. Demonstrate knowledge of master data, IDocs, outputs, and common SD troubleshooting techniques. Show hands-on experience with AI copilots, automated documentation tools, and AI-assisted testing/analysis. Be capable of integrating pre-built AI capabilities into SD process flows, with an understanding of responsible AI usage and its limitations. Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills in O2C scenarios, with the ability to translate business needs into SAP SD configurations. Possess effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional stakeholders and a mindset for continuous learning with AI augmented tools. A minimum of 2-5 years of experience is required, with a mandatory 15 years of full-time education.
