We are looking for a technically proficient and delivery-oriented Android Application Development Lead. The position involves driving the design and development of cutting-edge infotainment applications utilizing Android Automotive OS (AAOS). This includes full-stack architecture, HAL integration, and collaborative system-level work to deliver automotive-grade user experiences.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in Android development, with a strong emphasis on AAOS, embedded systems, and infotainment platforms.

Lead the design and development of innovative infotainment applications using AAOS, prioritizing modularity, performance, and ease of maintenance.

Architect robust full-stack solutions for key features like media, navigation, user profiles, and distributed playback.

Develop essential modules for VHAL and other HALs, leveraging AIDL/HIDL for seamless communication.

Integrate applications with critical system services and vendor-specific frameworks.

Proactively debug and optimize performance across application, framework, and HAL layers to ensure system stability.

Collaborate effectively with platform, hardware, and QA teams for integrated validation and seamless deployment.

Mentor junior developers, instilling best practices in architecture, code quality, and testing methodologies.

Create and present clear architecture diagrams, detailed technical specifications, and implementation plans to stakeholders.

A minimum of 3 years of professional experience is required for this role.

Possess at least 4 years of experience in Android application development, ideally within automotive or embedded domains.

Demonstrate strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and C++ (14/17).

Exhibit a deep understanding of the Android SDK, NDK, Jetpack libraries, and MVVM architecture.

Have hands-on experience with Android components such as Activities, Services, Broadcast Receivers, and Content Providers.

Showcase practical experience with AIDL/HIDL, VHAL, and HAL-to-app communication mechanisms.

Familiarity with AAOS car services and infotainment integration is essential.

Experience with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and CAN at the application level is beneficial.

Exposure to media, phone, navigation applications, and cloud communication is preferred.

Knowledge of partitioning concepts and cross-partition communication is valuable.

Proficiency in unit testing, instrumentation testing, and mocking frameworks is required.

Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD workflows, and debugging tools like adb, logcat, Perfetto, and Systrace is necessary.

Experience with ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), ASPICE, and ISO/SAE 21434 (Cybersecurity) is advantageous.

Understanding of cybersecurity practices, including TARA and secure communication, is important.

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related engineering field is required. A minimum of 4 years of experience in Infotainment & Telematics is also a requirement.
