Join our team as a Custom Software Engineer focused on enhancing SAP Production Planning (PP) for discrete manufacturing. This role involves leveraging AI-powered development tools to streamline processes from requirement analysis to issue resolution. You will focus on optimizing production planning, shop floor execution, and material staging, with opportunities to integrate pre-built AI services. This position does not require deep AI model engineering or vector database work.

Key responsibilities include configuring and supporting SAP PP processes such as Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Production Orders, Routings, Work Centers, BOM Management, Capacity Planning, Scheduling, Backflushing, and Costing Integration. You will utilize AI copilots to accelerate functional specifications, routing/BOM validation, test case generation, and documentation. Support the full project lifecycle, integrate PP with other SAP modules (MM, QM, SD, FI/CO), and leverage AI for automated requirement summarization, MRP exception analysis, and defect isolation. Integrate pre-built AI services for predictive insights and automated summarization of production deviations.

We require strong SAP PP expertise, including a deep understanding of discrete manufacturing processes, BOM/routing management, production order cycles, capacity planning, scheduling, and MRP. Experience integrating with MM, QM, SD, and FI/CO is essential. Candidates should be comfortable using AI copilots and AI-assisted tools for development and documentation, with an awareness of responsible AI usage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to translate manufacturing requirements into SAP PP configurations, and excellent communication and collaboration abilities are also necessary. A continuous learning mindset for adopting AI-assisted workflows is a must. A minimum of 3 years of experience and 15 years of full-time education are required.
