Join our team as a Custom Software Engineer, where you will be instrumental in developing sophisticated custom software solutions. This role involves designing, coding, and enhancing components across various systems and applications.

Utilize modern frameworks and agile methodologies to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions meticulously tailored to specific business requirements. The primary focus is on building AI-native, data-centric products leveraging SAP BTP Datasphere, integrating strong enterprise data warehousing expertise with agentic AI architectures.

Design and implement governed data products within Datasphere, creating semantic models optimized for both analytics and AI consumption.

Develop grounded AI experiences by connecting LLM applications to curated Datasphere models and enterprise data sources, ensuring traceable and reliable AI outputs.

Facilitate hybrid modernization by enabling transition paths from legacy warehouse investments using SAP BW bridge patterns.

Implement layered design patterns for data lakehouse style layering and embed quality controls within the delivery lifecycle.

Build data agents capable of planning, tool execution, context retrieval, and answer generation with citations, ensuring enterprise-grade usage through prompt templates and safe action boundaries.

Establish evaluation loops for AI behavior and implement telemetry for monitoring AI interactions and optimizing cost efficiency.

Collaborate closely with business, data governance, and platform teams to align data products with business decisions and operational workflows.

A strong foundation in SAP BTP Datasphere, encompassing data modeling, spaces, sharing patterns, and enterprise semantic design.

Possess robust data warehousing fundamentals and the ability to translate complex business domains into governed analytical models.

Demonstrate hands-on experience building with LLMs, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), retrieval strategies, grounding, prompt and tool design, and evaluation.

Exhibit solid software engineering fundamentals, including a focus on testability, a CI/CD mindset, and building reliable integrations.

Minimum of 3 years of experience is required, with a preference for 2-5 years.

A 15-year full-time education is a mandatory requirement.
