As a Custom Software Engineer, you will develop bespoke software solutions, meticulously designing, coding, and enhancing components across various systems and applications. Leveraging modern frameworks and agile methodologies, you will deliver scalable, high-performing solutions precisely tailored to unique business requirements.

This role integrates cutting-edge AI-assisted development tools and copilots to enhance financial processes. Focus will be on accelerating financial analysis, configuration, documentation, test creation, and troubleshooting. The position emphasizes seamless integration, superior quality delivery, and leveraging AI for increased productivity, without demanding deep model development or advanced LLM/RAG engineering.

Configure and refine core SAP FI modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Banking, Tax, and Financial Closing. Translate intricate business needs into robust SAP configurations, utilizing AI copilots to expedite analysis and documentation.

Provide comprehensive support throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering to solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare. Ensure seamless integration of SAP FI with other SAP modules like MM, SD, CO, AA, and external systems via standard integration patterns and APIs.

Utilize AI copilots for generating functional specifications, validating configurations, creating test scripts, performing impact analysis, and producing documentation. Apply pre-built AI services, such as anomaly detection and intelligent validations, to optimize finance processes. Employ AI tools for interpreting financial data, diagnosing errors, and facilitating faster issue resolution.

Maintain adherence to SDLC standards, audit controls, finance governance, data accuracy, and system performance benchmarks. Facilitate workshops, solution walkthroughs, testing cycles, and troubleshooting sessions, enhanced by AI-generated insights. Foster collaboration with finance users, functional and technical teams, and cross-module stakeholders to ensure cohesive and high-quality solutions.

Contribute to the development of reusable templates, checklists, documentation patterns, and best practices for AI-assisted development.

A strong command of SAP FI S/4HANA processes is essential, including expertise in the Universal Journal, Financial Closing & Reporting, AP/AR Processing, Asset Accounting (AA), Banking & Cash Management, and Taxation and compliance.

Demonstrated experience in integrating SAP FI with SAP CO, MM, and SD modules is required. You should possess hands-on experience with AI copilots, LLM-based assistants, automated documentation tools, and AI-driven testing solutions.

An understanding of fundamental AI concepts, its limitations, responsible AI usage, and the practical application of pre-built AI services is necessary. The ability to leverage AI for analysis, validation, test generation, workflow optimization, and issue resolution is crucial.

Possess strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities related to finance processes and data. Excellent communication skills are vital for effective collaboration with both business and technical teams. The ability to translate business requirements into well-structured SAP finance solutions is a key expectation.

A continuous learning mindset and comfort in adopting AI-enabled workflows are highly valued. A minimum of 3 years of experience is required, along with a full-time education spanning 15 years.
