As a Node.js Backend Developer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and supporting robust backend applications for OTT and digital media platforms. Your contributions will be crucial for API development, seamless AWS integration, effective production support, and ensuring the delivery of dependable solutions through Node.js, TypeScript, and cutting-edge cloud technologies.

Take ownership as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Node.js backend development. Design, build, and refine backend and Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) services using Node.js and TypeScript. Develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs for critical functions like catalog management, metadata, entitlement, playback authorization, and device registration. Create API aggregation and response transformation layers for various platforms including Web, Mobile, Smart TV, and Set-Top Box.

Integrate applications with a suite of AWS services such as AWS Lambda, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon S3, Amazon SQS, Amazon SNS, Amazon API Gateway, and Amazon ECS. Ensure code quality by writing maintainable JavaScript and TypeScript, adhering to development standards. Develop and maintain comprehensive automated unit, integration, and regression tests. Actively participate in code reviews, CI/CD processes, and release activities. Analyze production incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and resolve performance bottlenecks. Troubleshoot Node.js runtime issues like memory leaks, event loop latency, connection pool exhaustion, and timeouts. Collaborate effectively with development, operations, architecture, and business teams. Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in on-call rotations and production support.

We are seeking candidates with significant expertise in Node.js and TypeScript development, including building RESTful and GraphQL APIs. Hands-on experience with frameworks like Express.js, Fastify, or NestJS is essential. Proficiency with AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, and ECS is a must.

A strong grasp of asynchronous programming concepts (Promises, Async/Await, Streams, Event Emitter) and robust error handling is required. Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases is expected. Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, and Supertest, along with tools like Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker, is necessary. Experience monitoring applications using Amazon CloudWatch or similar tools, and supporting production applications with incident troubleshooting, is also critical.
