Innovate and build intelligent, enterprise-grade user experiences using SAPUI5 and the broader SAP Fiori paradigm. This role focuses on integrating agentic AI patterns, including LLM-integrated UX and tool-augmented interactions, to create adaptive SAP experiences that accelerate user task completion. Prioritize performance, accessibility, security, and reliability at scale.
The project role is Custom Software Engineer. Develop and enhance components across systems and applications using modern frameworks and agile practices. Deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs.
Design and build responsive, user-friendly SAPUI5 interfaces with a focus on MVC architecture and component-based patterns. Develop UI5 applications using JavaScript and modern front-end technologies, adhering to disciplined source control practices.
Implement robust data flows using OData and service mocking. Design scalable client-side models and interaction patterns for complex enterprise datasets.
Integrate AI-driven experiences into UI flows for assisted interactions, intent interpretation, and contextual guidance. Implement tool-augmented UI patterns with user confirmation and safe action boundaries. Build retrieval-grounded UI interactions ensuring AI outputs align with enterprise knowledge and business context.
Develop automated test coverage using unit and acceptance testing patterns. Optimize performance and maintainability by reducing UI bloat and enforcing coding standards.
Apply SAP Fiori design principles for role-based, consistent experiences across devices. Understand SAPUI5 and OpenUI5 ecosystem positioning for informed enterprise decisions.
Prototype quickly, demo frequently, and iterate with stakeholders to deliver production-ready UI solutions with observability and regression testing for both UI and AI behaviors.
Requires strong hands-on expertise in SAP UI5/SAPUI5 development and enterprise UI engineering fundamentals. Mastery of MVC architecture, responsive UI construction, and component-driven development within SAP UI5 contexts is essential.
Solid implementation experience with OData and service mocking approaches for development and testing workflows is necessary. Proficiency in front-end foundations including JavaScript, JSON, and CSS, coupled with Git-based collaboration skills, is required.
Demonstrated AI-native build capability is expected, focusing on designing UX that integrates LLM behaviors with grounding, tool use, and evaluation loops.
Familiarity with the SAP Fiori design paradigm and the ability to translate UX principles into scalable UI solutions are strongly beneficial. Testing depth for SAPUI5 applications using established testing approaches is also advantageous, as is an understanding of SAPUI5 vs. OpenUI5 positioning.
A minimum of 3 years of experience is required. A total of 15 years of full-time education is mandated.
