Join our team as a Custom Software Engineer, focused on developing advanced SAP applications and extensions. This role leverages AI-native patterns and HANA optimization to build high-performance, cloud-ready solutions. You will work with LLMs, tools, and retrieval mechanisms to enhance enterprise SAP workflows, emphasizing production-grade quality without extensive foundation model training.

Design and implement ABAP solutions for SAP HANA, focusing on performance optimization and pushdown principles. Develop modular, testable code following clean architecture practices and build services using modern paradigms. Model enterprise business entities with CDS semantics for transactional and analytical use. Integrate ABAP services with LLM capabilities for AI-enabled experiences, including tool calling and retrieval grounding. Build automated tests for ABAP services and data artifacts. Instrument services for observability and design robust error handling for enterprise flows. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for end-to-end solution delivery and ensure security and compliance.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in ABAP Development on HANA, with strong expertise in performance tuning, pushdown, and efficient SQL access. Proficiency in CDS views, modern data modeling, associations, annotations, and authorization concepts is essential. Experience with AMDP/SQLScript for performance-critical scenarios is required. Solid software engineering discipline, including clean design, a testing mindset, CI/CD orientation, and production readiness, is crucial. Candidates must possess AI-native build capabilities, encompassing LLM integration, retrieval grounding, tool orchestration, evaluation loops, and safety boundaries. A 15-year full-time education is mandatory.
