As a Custom Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing tailored software solutions. This position emphasizes the strategic use of AI-assisted development tools and copilots to streamline financial processes. You will focus on accelerating financial process analysis, configuration, documentation, test creation, and troubleshooting within SAP FI S/4HANA Accounting.

The role prioritizes integration, high-quality delivery, and leveraging AI for enhanced productivity, without necessitating deep model development or advanced LLM/RAG engineering expertise. It's an opportunity to shape impactful financial solutions within a dynamic tech environment.

Configure and enhance core SAP FI components, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Banking, Tax, and Financial Closing. Translate complex business requirements into scalable SAP configurations, utilizing AI copilots to accelerate analysis and documentation. Support end-to-end solution delivery throughout the project lifecycle: requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare. Integrate SAP FI seamlessly with other SAP modules (MM, SD, CO, AA) and external systems via standard integration patterns and APIs. Leverage AI copilots for drafting functional specifications, validating configurations, generating test scripts, conducting impact analysis, and creating comprehensive documentation. Apply pre-built AI services for tasks like anomaly detection, forecasting, and intelligent validations to optimize financial processes. Utilize AI tools for efficient financial data interpretation, error diagnosis, and rapid issue resolution. Ensure adherence to SDLC, audit controls, finance governance, data accuracy, and system performance standards. Conduct workshops, solution walkthroughs, testing cycles, and troubleshooting sessions, enhanced by AI-driven insights. Collaborate effectively with finance users, functional teams, technical teams, and cross-module stakeholders to ensure aligned, high-quality solutions. Contribute to the development of reusable templates, checklists, documentation patterns, and best practices for AI-assisted development.

Possess a strong understanding of SAP FI S/4HANA processes, including the Universal Journal, Financial Closing & Reporting, AP/AR Processing, Asset Accounting (AA), Banking & Cash Management, and Taxation and compliance. Demonstrate experience integrating SAP FI with CO, MM, and SD modules. Have hands-on experience utilizing AI copilots, LLM-based assistants, automated documentation tools, and AI-driven testing tools. Understand fundamental AI concepts, limitations, responsible AI usage, and the practical application of pre-built AI services (not model training, RAG, or agentic development). Be adept at using AI for analysis, validation, test generation, workflow optimization, and issue resolution. Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving abilities related to finance processes and data. Possess clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both business and technical teams. Be capable of translating business requirements into well-structured SAP finance solutions. Maintain a continuous learning mindset and be comfortable adopting AI-enabled workflows.
