Join our team as a Custom Software Engineer and contribute to developing innovative software solutions. Maintain the Project's Work Package and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) within Ecosys, ensuring governance compliance and alignment with other project systems. Upload and reconcile monthly actual information from integrated financial systems into Ecosys, managing period close-out and data backup. Produce essential monthly reports for Cost Analysts and Program stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include creating annual business plans and managing the annual rollover process, setting up or amending reporting structures, and providing profile setup and training for Ecosys users. You will also be involved in user screen configuration, understanding data table structures, and contributing to change requests by setting up new codes in Ecosys. Ensuring adherence to change management and systems development procedures is crucial.
Collaborate with Project Controls, Commercial, Finance, and IT stakeholders on reporting development from Ecosys. Develop, compile, document, and update an Ecosys User Guide to capture all relevant processes. Work with the Quality Management team on process documentation for the Quality Management Plan.
A minimum of 2-5 years of experience is required for this Custom Software Engineer role. A must-have skill is Hexagon EcoSys expertise.
Professional and technical skills include providing support to the Finance and Reporting team for ad-hoc requests. You should possess a solid understanding of data structures and disciplines aligned with program governance, offering flexible solutions for evolving program needs. Establish a strong grasp of data flow and its impact when system changes occur or master tables are updated.
Transform use case and business case requirements into proposed solutions, managing the business impact of technical choices. Partner with various stakeholders regarding issues with current technical solutions. Expertise in EcoSys configuration and customization (version 8.5 and above) is essential, as is prowess in developing custom modules based on business processes and implementing EcoSys with user training.
Understanding of Cost Analyst roles, fundamental skills in Project Management, Construction, Project Controls, and Contractor Management are important. Advanced Microsoft Office skills are beneficial. Exposure to Primavera Unifier and Primavera P6 is advantageous.
Good understanding of programming skills such as DotNet, SQL, PL/SQL Packages, Java, and modern languages like Python, R, Web services (REST, SOAP, JSON), and PIF. Demonstrated experience in written and verbal communication is vital. Exhibit an expert ability to collaborate effectively both independently and as part of a team in a structured, disciplined, technology-driven setting. Showcase creativity and analytical skills in problem-solving, promoting teamwork, innovation, and overall excellence.
