Build AI-native enterprise applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). This role combines strong platform engineering with agentic AI application patterns.

Focus on building, deploying, and operating cloud applications on SAP BTP. Evolve these applications into intelligent systems through rapid prototyping and production hardening.

This position requires a deep understanding of SAP BTP, including platform architecture, administration, solution design, and full-stack development. You will leverage modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions.

Develop custom software solutions, including designing, coding, and enhancing components across systems and applications.

Build, deploy, and manage cloud applications on SAP BTP, covering platform fundamentals, administration, solution design, and frontend/backend development.

Implement full-stack delivery patterns using Node.js for backend services and SAPUI5 for responsive UI components.

Design database artifacts and data models, integrating applications with SAP HANA-based persistence patterns.

Configure subaccounts, service instances, roles, and connectivity for integrating external APIs and databases.

Package and deploy applications using multi-target application (MTA) artifacts.

Integrate LLM-powered features into BTP applications, including tool calling, orchestration, and state handling.

Build retrieval-grounded experiences (RAG-style) over enterprise content and APIs.

Establish evaluation loops for AI behavior monitoring and regression detection.

Utilize Git-based workflows and Agile/Scrum methodologies for collaboration and delivery.

Debug and resolve backend, database, and service exposure issues.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP BTP application development.

Requires 15 years of full-time education.

Essential skills include SAP BTP application development fundamentals, covering platform architecture, administration basics, solution design, and frontend/backend build.

Demonstrated hands-on full-stack implementation experience with backend services, APIs, data models, and UI integration.

Strong software engineering fundamentals such as clean code, a testing mindset, and CI/CD orientation are necessary.

Ability to transition from prototype to production is expected, especially for AI-native applications.

Familiarity with common BTP app-dev tooling and patterns, such as SAP Business Application Studio, is beneficial.

Awareness of platform building blocks and guidelines from community materials like the SAP BTP Developer's Guide is advantageous.
